Often described as the hardest handlepass to master, this trick is not for the kooks! It requires a fair amount of patience and strength, however, with enough practice anyone can have the backmobe as a part of their repertoire! Once stomped you'll be earning serious respect at your home spot.
The key with this trick is to go big when learning and get those legs above your head when your reach the 540 rotation. Keep that kite nice and steady at 45 so that it will help pull you through the trick as it jumps to the edge of the window. Keep your hands centered on the bar as always.
Now get out there and stomp it!
Ride in and unhook as though you're going for a big backroll to toeside, then go bigger
Edge super hard and throw your head back as you initiate the roll
Try to get your legs higher than your head once you reach the 540 rotation, as this will make the pass easier
At the 540 rotation, pull the bar hard into your back hip and let go of your front hand
Continue to spin, allowing for the last 180 frontside rotation
Refrain from passing the bar for as long as possible as this makes the landing easier
Land with your weight centered over the board, pointing downwind.
Ride away feeling like an absolute gun.
