2015 King of the Great Lakes Test Fest

Posted October 5, 2015 by Mac Kiteboarder

If you are yet to experience King of the Great Lakes, held in Grand Haven, Michigan every September, you are missing out. So what makes KOGL so different from your average contest? Well, for starters, it’s not a contest. Rather, it’s an opportunity for everyday riders to mingle with brand representatives and pro riders alike. It’s a chance to check out some new gear and make some new friends. One thing that stands out in kiteboarding is a strong sense of community. That feeling of connectedness permeates KOGL, whether there’s wind and you are out kiting next to Brandon Scheid and Chris Bobryk, or there’s no wind and you’re just hanging out on the beach chatting about new gear.

A special thanks goes out to everyone who made this possible. A huge thank you as well to all of the brands and riders who came out this year – we seriously could not do this without you. This year may have not had much wind, but it was one of the most fun events to date. Looking forward to 2016 – see you then!
